USAWho was the 27-year-old attacker who created terror in America?

Manhattan, New York City, USA was rocked by a gunman on Monday evening, July 28, when he opened fire, killing at least four people, including a policeman. The attacker has been identified as 27-year-old Shane Tamura. After the attack, Shane Tamura shot himself and committed suicide. The New York Fire Department said that it received the first report of gunshot at 6:28 pm, after which it was called to the Park Avenue office building.

The building houses some of the country’s top financial firms, including private equity giant Blackstone and the National Football League. Shane Tamura has been identified as a 27-year-old native of the US state of Hawaii who later moved to Las Vegas. An identity card with Tamura’s photo is going viral. According to this, he had a permit to keep such weapons which can be carried from one place to another without anyone noticing (concealed fire arms). This permit was issued to him on June 14, 2022 and was valid for five years.

Shane Tamura played American football (rugby) for Granada Hills, as mentioned in a video from 2015. An old video has resurfaced in which Tamura can be heard talking excitedly about his triumph in the sport. Tamura most recently worked as a security guard at a Las Vegas casino, the New York Post reports. Police recovered Tamura’s rifle – a Palmetto State Armory AR-15 assault rifle – which was stained with blood. A vehicle registered in Tamura’s name with a Nevada license plate was also found at the scene. Inside the vehicle, police found a rifle case with bullets, a loaded revolver, ammunition and magazines, a backpack, and Tamura’s medications. The vehicle was searched by the bomb squad and found to contain no explosives.

Preliminary investigations indicate Tamura’s car traveled across the country through Colorado on July 26 and as recently as Monday at 4:24 p.m. Columbia, New Jersey. The car entered New York City shortly afterward. A man armed with a long rifle and wearing a bulletproof vest was seen entering the 44-story Manhattan office building. He reportedly opened fire inside the Park Avenue skyscraper, which is just blocks from Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center and the Museum of Modern Art. According to New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch’s press briefing, the gunman first shot a NYPD officer, then shot a woman who hid behind a pillar before proceeding through the lobby
