On public safety, Neet refuses to accept that Kent must endure rising crime while a third of its officers have left due to lack of leadership support; for 14 straight years, the city has had the lowest officer-to-resident ratio in the region — 51% below the national average — while burglaries per capita remain high. She will fight to restore adequate staffing, back law enforcement, and enforce laws to protect families. On homelessness and drug addiction, she rejects the city’s failed cycle of throwing millions of taxpayer dollars at programs with little to show for it, instead proposing a public-private partnership focused on measurable recovery and independence rather than enabling destructive cycles. On the economy, Neet is committed to revitalizing Kent by championing small business incentives, slashing red tape in permits, introducing a Strategic Crypto Reserve to keep the city financially innovative, and closing the Streamlined Sales Tax loophole that has robbed Kent of revenue for years, using those funds to repair roads and rebuild infrastructure.
