KENT, WA – October 18, 2025
The Kent Police Department has issued a community update to address circulating rumors about a recent law enforcement presence at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship on East Hill. According to the official statement, claims of an immigration-related operation are false.

The department clarified that the activity observed was a DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) operation, and Kent Police were not involved in any capacity.

“We want to confirm that Kent was not involved,” stated Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner in the release. He assured residents that the City of Kent remains committed to transparency and providing factual updates as situations unfold.
