USARenton Police and Schools Partner to Celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Renton, WA — October 24, 2025:
The Renton Police Department has teamed up with the Renton School District to celebrate Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign promoting drug-free living and healthy lifestyle choices for youth.

As part of the celebration, Renton PD and the school district have launched a Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest open to all 3rd–5th grade classrooms. Students are encouraged to express what “living drug-free” means to them while incorporating this year’s national theme: “Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free.”

Winning posters will be announced in early November, with special recognition from the Renton Police Department. The initiative aims to encourage creativity, spark meaningful conversations about substance-free living, and empower young students to make positive choices for their future.

Red Ribbon Week is recognized nationwide and supported by the DEA through educational outreach and community events.
