Renton, WA —
Detectives with the Renton Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a string of armed robberies targeting small businesses throughout Renton.
The arrest took place on Friday, November 7, 2025, following an extensive investigation that began in mid-October. Detectives developed probable cause for eight counts of Robbery in the First Degree, seven counts of Assault in the Second Degree, and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Investigators are continuing to review additional cases that may be connected to the same suspect. Search warrants are being executed on the suspect’s residence and vehicle as part of the ongoing investigation.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail on multiple felony charges.
Police acknowledged the concern the string of robberies has caused among local business owners and assured the community that detectives are working diligently to identify and apprehend everyone involved.
“We understand these incidents have caused concern in our community, especially among local business owners,” the department said in a statement. “We appreciate the community’s patience and support as detectives work to bring those responsible to justice.”
