KENT, Wash. — The Kent Police Department joined community leaders this week to help serve meals at the city’s annual Senior Thanksgiving gathering, continuing a long-standing tradition of supporting local older adults.

According to the department, multiple volunteers—including Kent Council Member Zandria Michaud and Kent Council President Satwinder Kaur—assisted with food preparation and meal service during the event. Photos shared by the department show volunteers in aprons and gloves working inside a commercial kitchen and plating meals for attendees.

The Senior Thanksgiving event is one of the city’s most well-attended seasonal gatherings, offering a warm holiday meal and an opportunity for seniors to connect with community members and public officials.

Kent police officials expressed appreciation for the additional photographers and volunteers who helped make this year’s celebration a success.
