RENTON, WA — The Renton Police Department is gearing up for one of the city’s most festive traditions as the annual Battle of the Badges: Holiday Lights event returns on Saturday, December 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Renton Technical College.
More than 20 public safety agencies will participate, decorating their vehicles and canopies with elaborate holiday displays. Community members attending the event will have the chance to vote for the most festive setup, adding a friendly competitive spirit to the celebration.
Admission is free, and the event offers plenty of parking, with no need to arrive right at the start. Food trucks, music, and family-friendly activities will also be part of the festivities.
In the spirit of giving, Renton Police will collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations to support a local food bank.
