USAPine Street Closed Between 4th and 5th Avenues; SDOT Advises Drivers to Use Alternate Routes

Seattle, WA — The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) announced that Pine Street is currently closed between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue, urging drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

A traffic camera image from SDOT shows the 5th Avenue and Pine Street intersection blocked, with a truck and traffic cones visible as pedestrians navigate the surrounding sidewalks. The closure impacts one of downtown Seattle’s busiest retail corridors, especially near Westlake Park and surrounding shopping areas.

SDOT did not specify the cause of the closure in the post but emphasized that drivers should plan ahead and use detours to prevent congestion.

Motorists traveling through downtown can expect delays until the roadway reopens.
