SEATTLE, WA — The Seattle Mariners Care Foundation has donated $100,000 to Northwest Harvest, one of Washington state’s leading hunger-relief organizations, in a major show of community support made possible by Mariners fans.
The donation was funded through the team’s record-breaking 50/50 Raffle jackpots, with proceeds driven directly by fan participation throughout the season. The Mariners announced the contribution through social media, thanking fans for their continued generosity and support.
“You continue to make a difference,” the organization shared, crediting Mariners fans for helping make the significant donation possible.
Northwest Harvest is a nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger across Washington by providing nutritious food to food banks, meal programs, and schools in communities statewide. The $100,000 contribution is expected to significantly bolster food distribution efforts, especially during periods of increased need.
The Mariners Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Seattle Mariners, supports nonprofit organizations focused on hunger relief, housing stability, youth development, and education throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Team officials said the donation reflects the powerful impact of combining professional sports with community-driven giving.
