Traffic Advisory: Lane Closures Scheduled on Central Avenue in Kent for Fiber Work

USATraffic Advisory: Lane Closures Scheduled on Central Avenue in Kent for Fiber Work

Drivers in Kent should prepare for temporary traffic disruptions as intermittent curb lane closures are scheduled along Central Avenue between South 228th Street and Novak Lane.

According to city officials, the closures will take place March 5–6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day to allow crews to complete fiber installation work in the area.

The work will involve intermittent closures of both northbound and southbound curb lanes, and traffic control measures will be in place to guide drivers safely through the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, drive cautiously, and consider alternate routes if possible while the work is underway.

For additional information, residents can contact Jason Bryant, Capital Projects Manager, at 253-856-5500. More updates about traffic conditions in the city are available at DriveKent.com.
