The Renton, Washington has released new details regarding upcoming waste collection rates as part of its 2027 solid waste service agreement with Recology.

According to the City of Renton Government, residential customers will see a nominal monthly increase of $4.46 for a standard 35-gallon service. Meanwhile, commercial customers using a 4-yard dumpster are expected to see an increase of approximately $37.86 per month.

City officials say the rate adjustments reflect added customer service features and other value-added services included in the updated waste management contract. The agreement aims to support improved service quality while continuing the city’s commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.

The city has also published a breakdown of the new rates and service details to help residents and businesses better understand the changes and how they will impact future billing.
