US President Trump has announced that Japan, South Korea and 12 other countries will face 25 percent tariffs from August 1.
“According to letters sent to various countries yesterday, in addition to letters being sent today, tomorrow and over the next few months, the payment of tariffs will begin on August 1, 2025. This date has not been changed and will not be changed,” Trump’s official X posted. In other words, all monies will be due and payable from August 1, 2025 – no extensions will be given. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
