Former India all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has been fined for breaching the code of conduct during a Tamil Nadu Premier League (TMPL) match. Ashwin was found guilty of showing dissent at the umpires’ decision and misusing the equipment.

After the end of IPL 2025, Ashwin is now captaining the Dindigul Dragons in TMPL 2025. He got into an argument with the female umpire during the match played against Tiruppur Tamizhans on Monday. After this, he has been fined 30% of his match fee. He was fined 10 percent for showing disagreement with the umpires’ decision and 20 percent for misuse of equipment.

Ashwin was given out LBW on the last ball of the fifth over by R Sai Kishore of Tiruppur Tamizhans. After this he had an argument with umpire Krithika. Sai Kishore bowled a ball on the pad, He tried to play a shot, which missed. It seemed that the ball was going outside the leg stump, but the umpire raised his finger, due to which Ashwin looked very angry.

Ashwin could not take the review because Didigul had already used his reviews. After this Ashwin went towards the umpire and said a few words. He continued to seek clarification from the umpires, but the umpire did not say anything.
