After India imposed restrictions on Bangladeshi exports through land routes, the interim government has said that it wants to resolve all trade issues with India.
Muhammad Yunus’s advisor said that Bangladesh wants to discuss all issues with India. Recently, India had banned the import of readymade garments, fruits, beverages, snacks, chips, cotton and many other goods from Bangladesh by road.Earlier, Bangladesh had banned the import of yarn from India through land route.
India also suspended trans-shipment facility for export of goods from Bangladesh to third countries. Thus, reciprocal trade restrictions are being imposed between the two neighbouring countries. Regarding the latest restrictions imposed by India, Bangladesh interim government commerce adviser Sheikh Bashiruddin said that we have not yet officially heard anything about India’s measures. If any problems arise, both sides will discuss and try to solve them.
Bangladeshi actress Nusrat Faria has been sent to jail for attempting to murder a man named Inamul Haque. She played the role of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a film. Faria was detained at Dhaka airport on Sunday while she was on her way to Thailand. She was shown arrested in a case related to the July 2024 movement.
