Seattle Detectives Investigating Homicide in Georgetown Neighborhood

Seattle police are investigating a suspected homicide that occurred this afternoon in the Georgetown neighborhood. At approximately 11:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a body found in a tent encampment on the 1000 block of South Bailey Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with apparent fatal injuries. The Seattle Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
