The whole world is troubled by China’s mischievous behavior, the dragon is not ready to accept anything. Sometimes Taiwan, sometimes Philippines, sometimes something else… now China has once again done the same audacity. Satellite images show that China has landed two H-6s, considered its most advanced bombers, on the disputed Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.
Maxar Technology has provided two photos showing two H-6s on the same runway at Woody Island on May 19. Another photo also shows two Y-20 transport aircraft and a KJ-500 early warning plane. China developed the H-6 by copying the US B-52 development. Although it resembles the Soviet design, it is China’s longest-range bomber aircraft. It is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons as well as better engines and modern flight systems.
The H-6 serves as a force protection mechanism for the PLA. According to the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies, China’s Southern Theater Command maintains two regiments of the bombers. It is housed in heavily fortified bases where they would be more protected from US attacks in the event of a conflict.
