KENT, OH — With sunny skies and the holiday spirit approaching, the City of Kent’s service department has begun decorating downtown in preparation for the upcoming holiday season.
City workers were seen installing festive wreaths, garlands, and bows along downtown light poles on Franklin Avenue and Main Street — helping to bring early holiday cheer to residents and visitors.
Community Collaboration
This year, Main Street Kent and the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce are joining forces to support local businesses through Small Business Saturday and to organize the city’s much-loved Festival of Lights celebration.
The holiday events are expected to draw families and shoppers downtown, encouraging community engagement and boosting local business participation throughout the season.
A Bright and Festive Downtown
City officials say the goal is to create a welcoming, vibrant downtown atmosphere that celebrates both the spirit of the season and the unity of the Kent community.
Residents can look forward to more decorations, lighting displays, and special events as the holidays draw near.
