Bothell, WA – September 28, 2025 — In honor of Constitution Day, members of the local community gathered at the Bothell Gurdwara Sahib to distribute booklets containing the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Constitution Day, observed annually on September 17, commemorates the signing of the Constitution in 1787 and highlights the enduring vision of America’s founding fathers.
The initiative was designed to promote civic understanding, inspire deeper learning about the principles enshrined in these historic documents, and encourage awareness of the rights and responsibilities that underpin American democracy. Attendees received complimentary booklets and participated in discussions about the history, significance, and ongoing relevance of the nation’s founding documents.
“This effort was about more than handing out booklets,” said the event organizers. “It was about encouraging reflection on the foundational values of freedom, equality, and justice that anchor our country, and strengthening civic engagement within the community.”
Hosting the event at the Bothell Gurdwara Sahib underscored the values of unity and collective responsibility, illustrating that the preservation of democratic ideals is a shared duty that transcends cultural and faith boundaries.
The event served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of civic education and the ongoing role of communities in safeguarding democratic principles for future generations.
