KENT, Wash. — Kent Police are investigating after the remains of an adult male were discovered in a brush-covered area near the intersection of 94th Avenue South and Canyon Drive on June 8.
According to authorities, officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 5:30 p.m. from a witness who reported finding a body in the bushes. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the remains belonged to an adult male. Investigators said the advanced state of decomposition suggests the death occurred some time before the discovery.
Kent Police detectives have launched an investigation and are working to identify the deceased. Officials stated there were no immediate signs indicating homicide, but detectives have not ruled out any possibilities as the investigation continues.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an examination to determine the cause and manner of death, as well as confirm the man’s identity.
