SPORTS & BUSINESSDjokovic wins 100th title in Open Era: Equals Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors by winning Geneva Open

Novak Djokovic has equaled Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors by winning 100 titles in the Open Era. Roger Federer is second with 103 titles and Jimmy Connors is at the top of the list of most ATP title winners with 109 titles.

Djokovic defeated tournament sixth seed Hubert Hurkacz 5-7, 7-6(2), 7-6(2) in the final of the Geneva Open. Djokovic initially trailed by a set but then he made a comeback and eventually won the title. With this title, Djokovic has become the first player to win trophies in 20 different seasons. This also includes an Olympic gold medal.

With this title, Djokovic’s dry spell in the tennis circuit has also ended. His last title came when he won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024. He was defeated by Jannik Sinner in the Shanghai final last year and by Jakub Mencic in the Miami final in March.
