The world famous businessman and Tesla owner Elon Musk has now decided to start a new political party. He said this when he had a conflict with US President Donald Trump. Musk conducted a poll on X (formerly Twitter) asking whether America needs a new political party.
More than 56 lakh people participated in this poll and 80.4% said yes, a new party is needed. Sharing the results, Musk wrote, “People have given their opinion. America needs a new party that becomes the voice of 80% of the people.”
Elon Musk responded to people’s poll by writing, ‘The America Party’ Musk’s announcement comes after the recent souring of relations between him and Trump. Musk had criticized the Trump administration’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’, which he calls a ‘disgusting’ bill.This bill contains a government spending plan, which has revealed a deficit of $2.4 trillion. Musk strongly criticized this and then on May 30, he resigned from his position, i.e. the post of Chief of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk and Trump had a very good relationship earlier. Musk had donated more than $220 million to support Trump in the 2024 elections. But now the situation has changed. The relationship has now soured.
