Rain has caused havoc in the North-East. People in many states have been badly affected by the rain. Monsoon has caused heavy destruction in Manipur. More than 19 thousand people have been affected due to the floods. Officials have given this information.

The official said that 3,365 houses have been damaged due to floods caused by continuous torrential rains in the last four days. In such a situation, 31 relief camps have been opened to reduce the difficulties of the people, most of which are in Imphal East district.

Senapati district as well as Heingang, Wangkhei and Khurai assembly constituencies in Imphal East district are the worst affected. At the same time, many people have died and many are injured due to continuous rain, floods and landslides in the northeastern states of Assam, Sikkim, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.

Meanwhile, tourists stranded in Sikkim are now being actively evacuated with the efforts of police, residents, forest personnel and Lachung Hotel Association. It is being said that 32 people have died.Gyatso Lachungpa, president of the Lachung Hotel Association, is leading the evacuation operation on the ground in collaboration with the local administration.

Talking about Arunachal Pradesh, the army has now rescued 14 people in this state. The Indian Air Force (IAF) today successfully carried out an important Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operation.In which 14 persons trapped in the flooded Bomjir river in Lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh were rescued.
