Former Indian team batting coach Sanjay Bangar has selected his preferred playing 11 for India for the first Test against England. The first Test between India and England will be played in Leeds from June 20. Former Indian team all-rounder Sanjay Bangar definitely surprised the fans by not giving Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur a place in the playing 11. During a conversation on Star Sports’ show Game Plan, Bangar chose his favorite playing 11 for the first Test.

Sanjay Bangar said that he would prefer Nitish Reddy over Shardul Thakur, who impressed a lot during the Australia tour. Bangar said, ‘I see Nitish as a batsman who can bowl. I don’t consider him a bowler who can bat. However, Nitish is ahead of Shardul in my team.Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 298 runs in five Tests at an average of 37.25 and took five wickets at an average of 38. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur, popularly known as Lord, scored 331 runs in 11 Tests at an average of 19.47 and took 31 wickets at an average of 28.38.
