After Operation Sindoor, 8 people were arrested from 3 states of the country. All of them were accused of spying for Pakistan. However, among all these people, one name that is most discussed is that of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra. Jyoti is accused of being in contact with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
Jyoti Malhotra runs her own YouTube channel named ‘Travel with JO’. Jyoti has also visited Pakistan several times, videos of which are available on her YouTube channel. According to the police, ISI was using Jyoti to set the narrative in favor of Pakistan.
In the year 2023, Jyoti Malhotra reached the Pakistan Embassy in New Delhi to get a visa for Pakistan. During this time, she met the head of the Pakistan High Commission, Ehsan-ur-Rehman alias Danish. Danish and Jyoti became friends in the very first meeting. Danish and Jyoti became friends in their first meeting itself. Both of them started talking on the phone and slowly they started getting closer.
According to the portal, Jyoti told the police that, “All arrangements for her stay and travel in Pakistan were made by Danish’s associate Ali Ahwaan. Ali introduced Jyoti to Pakistani security and intelligence officials.” Among them, the names of Shakir and Rana Shahbaz have come to light. To avoid anyone suspecting Jyoti, Jyoti had saved Shakir’s mobile number in her phone under the name ‘Jat Randhawa’.
According to the report, Jyoti told the police- She used social media platforms to communicate with Pakistani intelligence officials. She usually contacted Pakistani officials through apps like WhatsApp, Snapchat and Telegram and provided them with necessary information.
