In an unprecedented move, the Trump administration has revoked Harvard University’s eligibility to admit international students. The administration says it is using its authority to prevent Harvard University from admitting international students.

The administration has informed the university that it is taking this step as part of an ongoing investigation into the university by the Department of Homeland Security. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem wrote a letter to the university saying its ability to enroll international students had been eliminated.

Kristi Noem ordered her department to end Harvard University’s student and exchange visitor program. The move means Harvard can no longer enroll international students. Existing foreign students would have to relocate or lose their legal status.

Noem said, our administration is holding Harvard accountable for promoting violence, anti-Semitism on its campus, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party. Enrolling foreign students for universities
