Poet, lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar is known for his outspoken opinions. Javed, who made Amitabh Bachchan a Don, along with Salim Khan, has brightened the fortunes of many actors. The stories written by him have created a storm on the big screen, But not just the story, many times he becomes famous with his statements also.

Javed Akhtar may be away from the film world, but he often expresses his opinion openly on social, political or cinema related issues. Many times he also becomes the target of trolls. Recently, he has responded to those who criticize him.

Actually, Javed Akhtar attended the launch event of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s book Narkatla Swarga and told how people troll him for his outspoken style. At the event, Javed said, “What happens is that if you speak only on behalf of one side, then you only make the other side unhappy But if you speak for everyone, you hurt a lot of people. I can show you my Twitter (now X) and WhatsApp in which I am abused from both sides.”

Javed Akhtar said, “Many people praise me and encourage me but it is also true that extremists from both sides abuse me. This is how it should be, because if one side stops, I will wonder if I am doing something wrong.”
