Indian Coast Guard rescued a Singapore ship near the Kerala coast, there was a terrible fire

INTERNATIONALIndian Coast Guard rescued a Singapore ship near the Kerala coast, there was a terrible fire

The Indian Coast Guard, in collaboration with the Navy and the Air Force, has achieved significant success in the rescue operation and dousing the fire on the Singapore ship MV Wan Hai 503. Along with this, a successful initiative has been taken to take this fire-affected ship away from the Indian coastline near the Kerala coast, which is an important step in preventing a major marine environmental disaster.

Due to this joint operation of the security forces, the terrible fire on the ship and other difficult challenges could be controlled despite adverse weather. It is noteworthy that the fire that broke out in a Singapore-flagged container ship earlier this week had posed a major threat as the ship was near the Kerala coast.

However, the Indian Coast Guard said in a post on X on Saturday, “A major breakthrough in the rescue operation was achieved when the ship was transferred from Indian Coast Guard to Offshore Warrior on June 13. Despite adverse weather, Indian Navy’s ‘Seaking’ helicopter landed rescue teams on the ship 20 nautical miles from Kochi. Three Coast Guard ships are escorting the Singapore container ship. Now the ship is 35 nautical miles from the coast, the fire is almost extinguished.
