USAKent Woman Arrested for DUI After 911 Caller Reports Dangerous Driving

Kent, Washington: A 23-year-old Kent woman was arrested for driving under the influence after a 911 caller reported a black Chevy Malibu driving dangerously and running red lights early in the morning.

According to the Kent Police Department, Officer Axelson was dispatched around 5:20 a.m. after the caller reported the vehicle traveling southbound on 84th Avenue SE. The caller said the driver was running red lights and had nearly collided with another vehicle.

Officer Axelson located the Malibu near 84th Avenue S and S 212th Street. After observing the vehicle driving on the shoulder, weaving between the middle and inside lanes, and continuing onto a curb, the officer stopped the vehicle.

The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. Police said her driving was evaluated under Washington’s legal limit of 0.08. The department emphasized that impaired driving can cause serious injuries and urged drivers to find a safe alternative rather than getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol or other substances.
