Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced his separation from the Donald Trump administration. He gave this information in a post on the social media platform X on Wednesday. Recently, Elon Musk had openly criticized US President Donald Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful’ tax bill, after which there were reports of differences between Trump and Musk.
Elon Musk wrote on X: As my term as a special government employee comes to an end, I want to thank President Donald Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. The DOGE mission will grow stronger over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.

The two developed a good relationship during the presidential election campaign and Musk has served as a senior adviser in the Trump administration. Musk contributed $250 million to support Trump’s candidacy.
Earlier, Tesla owner Musk had said that he was disappointed by what the President called the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’. In an interview to CBS, he said that this bill is not only a huge expenditure but it also weakens the efforts of his government efficiency department. It increases the federal deficit.
