At least 60 thousand people have been affected in 12 districts of Assam.
Flash floods and landslides in Assam have killed 8 people and floods and landslides in Arunachal have killed 9 people. Seven members of two families were killed when their car was swept off the road following a landslide in East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alerts for parts of Assam and orange and yellow alerts for the rest of the Northeast. In Assam, 8 people have died due to landslides after continuous rain in the last 24 hours. Along with this, six districts have been flooded, affecting 10 thousand people.
