During the celebrations, the crowd suddenly became uncontrollable inside and outside the stadium, causing chaos. Many people were crushed and dozens were injured. The condition of many of the injured is said to be critical.

News agency PTI quoted Karnataka CM as saying that 11 people have reportedly died in the stampede. At the same time, more than 33 people have been injured. CM said that two to three lakh people had gathered to see the star players. The Karnataka government has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family of the deceased. At the same time, the PM has also expressed grief over this incident.
