USAStephanie Fein Visits Renton Gurdwara, Emphasizes Unity, Service, and Cultural Respect

On July 20, 2025, Stephanie Fein, candidate for King County City Council District
5, visited the Gurdwara in Renton, Washington, where she delivered a heartfelt speech expressing her deep respect for Sikh values and her commitment to inclusive leadership.

Fein addressed the congregation not merely as a candidate, but as a humble learner seeking to better understand and embrace the Sikh community. “It is truly an honor to be here in this sacred Gurdwara—a place that radiates peace, equality, and devotion,” she said. “I am not here only to ask for your votes, but to listen, learn, and walk alongside you.”

During her remarks, Fein commended the Sikh community’s enduring principles of courage,
justice, and sewa (selfless service). She stated her intention to carry those values forward in public service. “If given the opportunity to serve, I promise to reflect these values not just in speeches, but in action,” she affirmed.

Highlighting her vision for a more united and equitable future, Fein added, “I believe in unity, not division. In service, not self. I want to help build a community where all voices are heard, respected, and uplifted. That starts with understanding, not assuming.”

Fein’s presence at the Gurdwara was warmly received by community members, who appreciated her sincerity and openness. The visit marks another step in her ongoing efforts to engage with the diverse communities that make up District 5
