The Trump administration on Tuesday issued a stern warning to Indian and foreign students studying in the US. According to the government, if students do not attend classes, that is, miss classes or leave the course midway, their visas can be cancelled in the future.
The US Embassy in India has also issued an advisory regarding this matter. In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the US Embassy in India asked students to always follow the terms of their visa and maintain their student status to avoid any problems.

“If you drop out, skip classes, or abandon your program of study without notifying the school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for future U.S. visas,” the post reads.
Always abide by the conditions of your visa and maintain your student status to avoid any problems.”
The embassy also warned that if a person “remains in the United States beyond your authorized stay period, you may be deported and face a permanent ban on future travel to the United States.”
