An Indian female tourist in the US was arrested for stealing from a shopping store in Illinois. The woman is accused of spending about seven hours at the Illinois store and stealing. The woman’s actions were captured on CCTV cameras. The stolen items were recovered from the woman. The woman has been identified as Avlani.

US officials claim that the woman stole goods worth about $1,300 (about Rs 1.80 lakh). CCTV footage showed the woman roaming around the store for 7 hours with a trolley full of goods. After this the woman was trying to get out of the gate without paying for the goods. After being caught, the woman also presented her side in front of the police. The woman said that she is ready to pay for all the goods. The woman said, “If I troubled you, please forgive me

I am not from this country and I don’t want to stay here. On this the police officer said, “Is stealing allowed in India? I don’t think so.” Following this incident, the US Embassy in India has issued a new warning for Indians applying for US visa. In this new warning shared on X, the US State Department said that stealing or burglarizing in the US will not only create problems for you but it can also lead to cancellation of your visa. At the same time, you may also be ineligible for a US visa in the future.

Earlier, the US Embassy has clarified that the investigation continues even after getting the visa. If a person does not follow US laws and immigration rules, his visa will be cancelled and he will be deported from the country.
