The US is looking for three Iranian intelligence officers over the alleged kidnapping and murder of a special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. America has announced a reward of 5 million dollars for anyone who gives information about its special agent. Even after 18 years, the American intelligence agency has not been able to solve the mystery of the disappearance of its special agent.
A special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a special investigative agency of the US, went to Iran after his retirement. The name of the special agent was Robert A. Levishon. According to US records, Levishon traveled to Iran’s Keys Island on March 8, 2007 and disappeared the very next day. American agencies tried very hard to find him but could not find any trace of him. American intelligence agency suspects that their special agent has been kidnapped by Iran’s intelligence agency.
The US obtained a video and photographs in 2010 and 2011 showing its special agent in captivity. US intelligence agencies, after their detailed investigation, have now held Taghi Daneshvar, an official of Iran’s Intelligence and Security Ministry, responsible for the kidnapping, detention and possible death of their special agent. The US intelligence agency also suspects that apart from Iranian intelligence officer Daneshvar, two other officers may also be involved in this case.
