INTERNATIONALWas Pakistan informed about Operation Sindoor beforehand? Statement going viral

Congress MP and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has made a big allegation against External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and said that the government had informed Pakistan even before Operation Sindoor started.

However, Indian Army Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai had already made it clear that India had informed Pakistan immediately after the operation started and not before.

Addressing the media on May 11, DGMO had said that India had warned Pakistan immediately after attacking the terrorist camps, but Pakistan refused to negotiate and talked about retaliation. He had said that we were definitely ready for this.

The Ministry of External Affairs has rejected the allegations of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and called it a misrepresentation of facts. The Ministry of External Affairs said that Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had warned Pakistan in the initial stages after Operation Sindoor began, not before that.
