Pakistan has been in a state of turmoil ever since the US put the terrorist organisation ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), which carried out the Pahalgam terror attack, on the list of Foreign Terrorist Organisations (FTO). After supporting TRF in the United Nations, now Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has welcomed America’s decision. Pak Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Foreign Secretary Marco Rubio in the US capital Washington DC on Friday. During this, they also talked about TRF.
According to Ishaq Dar, it is America’s own decision to declare TRF a terrorist organization and we welcome it. If America has evidence that TRF is involved in terrorist activities, then they can absolutely do so. Ishaq Dar said- It is wrong to link TRF with Lashkar-e-Taiba.Lashkar was destroyed by Pakistan many years ago. The terrorists associated with Lashkar were prosecuted, arrested and sent to jail. There is no trace of Lashkar in Pakistan now.
Let us tell you that earlier Ishaq Dar had said in the Parliament of Pakistan that we had objected to taking the name of TRF during the condemnation of the Pahalgam attack in the United Nations. I got calls from all over the world, but we did not agree to this. India declared TRF a terrorist organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in January 2023 itself. TRF has come into existence since 2019. Since then TRF has taken responsibility for many major attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
