Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the G7 summit. After this, Carney has been asked tough questions in his own country. A reporter raised questions on the invitation given to PM Modi citing the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. But, the Canadian Prime Minister has given a blunt answer to the reporter’s questions.
Responding, Canadian PM Mark Carney clearly said that it is very important for some countries to be together and India is the fifth largest economy in the world. Along with this, he also clearly refused to make any comment on Nijjar’s murder.

Carney said that the legal process is ongoing in this case and no one will interfere in it. He made it clear that Canada follows the rule of law and the investigating agencies will be allowed to work freely. Mark Carney flatly refused to answer the question of journalists whether he thought PM Modi had a role in the murder of Nijjar? He said, “There is a legal process going on in Canada which is quite advanced and it is not appropriate to make any kind of comment on the legal process.”
