INTERNATIONALPakistanis have one last chance! They will have to leave India today

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India has taken a tough stand against Pakistan. India has separated itself from the Indus Water Treaty and has also cancelled the visas of Pakistani citizens. In such a situation, today is the last day for Pakistani citizens who have come to India to leave the country.

In fact, after the CCS meeting, the Indian government had decided that short-term visas issued to Pakistani citizens would be considered cancelled from April 27. Keeping these deadlines in mind, state governments are searching for and sending back Pakistanis present in their areas.

State governments are sending back

  1. It has been clarified by Uttar Pradesh that almost all the Pakistani citizens present in their state have been sent back. DGP Prashant Kumar had said that only one Pakistani citizen is present in the state, who will go back to Pakistan on 30 April.
  2. 19 Pakistani citizens who reached Bihar with visa have also returned. Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department in Bihar Government Arvind Kumar Chaudhary gave information in this regard. Maharashtra has the highest number of Pakistani citizens.
  3. Yogesh Kadam, a minister in the Fadnavis government, said, “According to me, about 1000 Pakistani citizens are living in the state on short-term visa and about 4000 Pakistanis are living on long-term visa. All of them have been asked to leave the country by April 27.”
