Fearing Indian retaliation after the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistan has handed over railway stations across the country to the Army and military desks have been set up at all stations.

Pakistan’s Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi said on Saturday that the control of all railway stations in the country has been handed over to the Pakistani armed forces. Arrangements have also been made to transport military equipment if required.

Along with this, Pakistan has started taking emergency measures to ensure medicine supply. Hanif Abbasi said that military desks have been set up at all railway stations. All the equipment of Pakistan Railways is now under the control of Pakistan Armed Forces.

Now our logistics are under the control of the Pakistani armed forces. Now they can use the railways to move tanks, heavy weapons and artillery. All our officials, all stations and every premises of Pakistan Railways are ready to work with the armed forces if needed.

Pakistani health authorities have launched emergency measures to ensure medicine supplies in view of the suspension of trade ties with India. Islamabad on Thursday suspended all trade with New Delhi in response to India’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty following the Pahalgam terror attack.
