Before the Bihar assembly elections, the Modi government has taken a big decision to conduct caste census. A cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which the government has decided to conduct caste census in the next census (Caste Census in India).
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that we have been demanding the government to conduct caste census after careful consideration for the last several years. We support the government’s decision, but we have some demands. We want the government to announce the date for conducting caste census.
Rahul Gandhi said that the government should clarify the timeline of when and how the census will be conducted.
The government should adopt the Telangana model. In fact, Rahul Gandhi said that the central government should adopt a fast, transparent and inclusive caste survey model like the Telangana government.
Rahul Gandhi said that Telangana has broken the 50 percent reservation limit. We want the reservation limit to be removed. Reservation should be implemented in private educational institutions.
