The way India had targeted terrorist camps across the border after terrorist attacks in the past, there is a lot of fear in Pakistan after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Due to this, the government of Jammu and Kashmir has closed all the religious madrassas located there for 10 days.
Pakistan says that it has strong information that India may take military action soon. India alleges that the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam was carried out by Pakistani citizens who have links with terrorist organizations based there.
Hafiz Nazir Ahmed, director of the religious affairs department in Jammu and Kashmir, said security officials feared the Indian army might target madrassas saying they were terror training camps.
However, in the notification issued on April 30, the reason for closing the madrasas was stated to be extreme heat. But Ahmed stated the truth in his statement.
