INTERNATIONALPakistan appeals to Muslim countries, seeks support for defence efforts

After pleading with America to reduce tensions with India, Pakistan has now appealed to friendly Muslim countries.

In this sequence, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held separate meetings with Saudi Arabian Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki, UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid al-Zaabi and Kuwaiti Ambassador Nasser Abdulrahman Jasir in Islamabad.

According to ‘Radio Pakistan’ report, in these meetings Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s stand for peace and stability in South Asia. In talks with Ambassador Nawaf, Sharif categorically rejected India’s baseless allegations linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident without any evidence and reiterated the call for a transparent and impartial international investigation into the incident.
