Former Team India fast bowler S Sreesanth has been banned from all cricket activities for 3 years by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA). He will no longer be able to participate in any cricket related tournament or match in the state as a player or coach.
KCA said, Sreesanth had said in a TV debate recently that the Kerala Board is the main reason for Sanju Samson not getting selected in Team India. Because of them, Samson could not be a part of India’s squad for the Champions Trophy.
After Sreesanth’s statement on Samson, KCA banned the former bowler in the general meeting on April 30. The board also sent notices to many people including Sreesanth in this matter. Sanju’s father Vishwanath Samson was also among the people.
KCA is now considering sending a legal notice to Samson’s father. After Sanju did not get a place in the Champions Trophy squad, he also blamed the board to some extent. However, Sreesanth held KCA completely responsible.
