Tensions between India and Pakistan are at their peak since the attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Now, the agitated Pakistan has demanded a meeting with the UNSC. On Pakistan’s request, a closed-door meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was called.
The meeting was once again used by Pakistan to spread lies against India and raise the Kashmir issue. Members of the United Nations Security Council asked Pakistan several questions at the meeting. The United Nations refused to accept Pakistan’s ‘false flag’ story.
The United Nations Security Council questioned Pakistan about the involvement of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the Pahalgam attack. The meeting widely condemned the terrorist attack and recognised the need for accountability. Some members also raised the issue of targeting tourists, particularly on the basis of religious beliefs.
