PAK content banned on OTT platforms too, government directive

ENTERTAINMENTPAK content banned on OTT platforms too, government directive

In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a new order to the OTT platforms running in India. The government has asked all streamers to stop broadcasting Pakistani content.

News agency ANI shared this notice which said, “In the interest of national security, all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operating in India are advised to They must, with immediate effect, stop web-series, movies, songs, podcasts and other streaming media content, whether available on a subscription-based model or originating in Pakistan.”

The decision comes a day after the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor avenged the barbaric terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22 in which 26 people were killed. Most of these people were tourists. Operation Sindoor lasted from 1.04 am to 1.30 am, in which Indian armed forces attacked nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday morning.
