The International Cricket Council has increased the amount of the World Test Championship (WTC). The final match of the World Test Championship will be played between Australia and South Africa at Lord’s from 11 to 15 June.
The winner of the World Test Championship will get a sum of Rs 30.79 crore, while the losing team will get a sum of Rs 18.47 crore. This time the prize money for the winning team is more than Rs 17.96 crore than the amount won by the winners of the last two finals, New Zealand (2021) and Australia (2023).
In the last two editions, the winner was given Rs 13.68 crore, while the runner-up was given Rs 6.84 crore. All the 9 teams playing in the World Test Championship will get prize money. Pakistan, which is in the ninth position, will also get Rs 4.10 crore. Team India, which is in the third position, will get Rs 12.32 crore
