US President Donald Trump on Thursday backtracked from his statement on India-Pakistan ceasefire. He said that he did not mediate between India and Pakistan. He said that I had helped resolve the tension between the two countries.
Trump, who is on a visit to Qatar, addressed the American military personnel at Al-Udeid Air Base. He said, “I don’t want to say that I did this. But I helped solve the problem between Pakistan and India last week, which was becoming very tense.”
Trump had claimed on Tuesday during his visit to Saudi Arabia that his administration had successfully brokered a historic ceasefire between India and Pakistan. The US President had claimed twice last Saturday that he had brokered the ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
