Has US President Donald Trump received a murder threat? US law enforcement agencies have begun investigating this matter and it is alleged that former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director James Comey has made the alleged murder threat.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Comey posted an Instagram post, later deleted, of seashells with the words “86 47” written on them. She explained that “86” means murder and that Trump is the 47th president of the United States.
“Former FBI Director James Comey just called for Trump’s assassination. DHS and the Secret Service are investigating this threat and will respond appropriately,” Noem posted on the social media platform X.
However, James Comey later posted on Instagram saying that he saw a picture of some shells while walking on the beach today, which I thought was a political message.He said, “I did not know that some people associate these numbers with violence. It never came to my mind, but I am against any kind of violence, so I removed the post.”
