US President Donald Trump has said that talking to India and Pakistan and rescuing them from crisis has been a great success for me, for which I will never be given due credit. He said there was a lot of hatred between the two countries and the tension had increased to such an extent that its next stage could possibly be a ‘nuclear’ war.
In an interview to ‘News’, Trump said that this is a great success for me. Both these countries are nuclear powers and they were angry. Ahead of President Trump’s visit to the Middle East, when asked about some of his foreign policy successes, he acknowledged that he had directly talked to the leaders of India and Pakistan and that there was mediation from the US side to control the tensions.
He said when tensions were rising, missiles were being used and the conflict was heading towards tit for tat, he intervened and prevented the situation from worsening. In the interview, when asked if he called India and Pakistan, Trump replied, “Yes, I did.” When asked if he considered it a success, he replied “yes.”
Trump said that the tension between the two countries had increased to such an extent that its next stage could possibly be a ‘nuclear’ war. Did you see in which direction this tension was going? It was a kind of revenge – like tit for tat. It was getting darker and darker. I mean, more missiles. Everybody was ‘relatively strong.’ The tension had gotten to the point where you know what was going to happen next? The ‘N’ word. You know what the N word is, right?
